Life begins in the middle of a series of floating eggs. Those that survive hatch into tadpoles and then undergo rapid change as they lose their gills and grow legs. Life in water is great, but these amphibians will soon move onto land, becoming adult frogs after 12-16 weeks.
- Scientific name: Anura
- Features: Unlike the distinct stages many insects go through, these figures show the rapid transition a frog makes from egg to adult. Young tadpoles are often mistaken for fish because they move so quickly in the water!
- Size and colour: maybe it's easy to be green! These soft and lifelike figures show the changing shades of a frog, complete with the approximately 5cm long adult.
