T.I.C.K.S. Babywearing in sicurezza

T.I.C.K.S. Safe babywearing

T.I.C.K.S. Safe babywearing

The Consortium of UK Sling Manufacturers and Retailers has drawn up the T.I.C.K.S., a list of rules for practicing babywearing safely.

We see them below

  • TIGHT - CLOSE TO THE BODY

The band and baby carrier should be tied tightly to be comfortable and to prevent the baby from collapsing inside with the risk of affecting the air passage.

  • IN VIEW AT ALL TIMES
You should always be able to see your baby simply by taking a look without having to move the fabric of the support.
  • CLOSE ENOUGH TO KISS - AT KISS HEIGHT

Your baby's head should be as close as possible to your chin and you should be able to kiss it.

  • KEEP CHIN OFF CHEST - CHIN AWAY FROM THE CHEST

At least one finger should pass between the baby's chin and her chest to ensure that the air passage is free.

  • SUPPORTED BACK

Adherent body and back supported in its physiological position helps keep the air passage open.
